California jewelry designer Melissa strives to promote sustainable eco-jewelry

The concept of sustainability has not been new to the fashion world, but the promotion of this concept in the fashion world is not an easy task. According to foreign media reports, designer Melissa Joy Manning and supermodel Amber Valletta promoted the concept of sustainability in the fashion world.

For more than a decade, California designer Melissa has been adhering to the concept of sustainability and is committed to handcrafting a variety of carefully crafted eco jewellery. On the evening of January 16, her first New York flagship store officially opened. She co-chaired the opening ceremony with supermodel Amber Valletta. According to reports, the two have a strong interest in sustainable design, they are members of the American Fashion Designers Association (CFDA). Amber recently also launched an environmentally conscious e-commerce site, Master & Muse. The site sells a wide range of sustainable products, such as the famous brands Vivienne Westwood and M.Patmos. Now they are working hard to promote the concept of sustainable development in the fashion circle. Melissa's almost completely green new store is a good proof.

The 418-square-meter boutique on the 12th Worcester Street was almost entirely remodeled from the factory relics of the 1880s, perfecting the concept of sustainability. For example, Melissa's central ornament is made from a remodeled display case; a jewellery wall is born from the old wooden door of the building. Melissa will continue to promote the concept of sustainability with eco-conscious objects from designers such as Pamela Love and Mark Davis.
