A gold bench weighing 50 kilograms debuts in Kunming with a value of over ten million yuan

A 50-kilogram gold bench made of sheet metal was unveiled yesterday at the Yunnan Geology and Jewellery Trading Center, located near Baiqing Road in Kunming. This unique piece quickly became a major attraction for the newly opened center, drawing crowds of curious onlookers who gathered to admire its impressive design. Though it resembles a traditional folk shrine or Mazar, this golden treasure is far from easy to move. Not even a small child could lift it, as it is firmly anchored to the ground. To ensure its safety, the Yundian Minerals Trading Center has deployed specialized guards, while the entire building is equipped with advanced security systems and strict protocols. According to reports, the gold bench is crafted from high-quality gold sourced directly from the Yundian Mine. The gold used is pure and yellow, with a rich history dating back to the Eastern Han Dynasty, when it was once presented as tribute to the imperial court in Yunnan. Today, it serves not only as a commodity but also as an investment and a symbol of wealth, widely admired by people across the region. The Yunnan Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources invested a total of 135 million yuan into the development of the Yunnan Geology, Jewellery and Jewellery Trading Center. The project brought together over 100 leading jewelers from both within and outside the province, with the flagship Yunnan Geology and Mineral Jewellery serving as a central hub. The complex spans 35,000 square meters, making it one of the most prominent and well-equipped trading centers in the area. Its opening marks a significant milestone in the local jewelry and mineral industry, combining tradition with modernity in a striking display of cultural and economic value.
