Method for extending the life of a glass furnace

In order to extend the service life of the furnace, increase the melting capacity of the furnace and reduce energy consumption to a greater extent. In the design of the kiln, in addition to selecting a reasonable kiln structure and rational use of refractory materials and thermal insulation materials, attention should also be paid to the influence of the production process. The production process is related to the melting capacity of the kiln and the quality of the glass. Seriously affect the service life of the furnace. Based on years of practical experience, the author believes that extending the life of glass furnaces can be considered from the following aspects:

1. In formula design: minimize the use of chemicals that corrode the furnace; reduce the melting coefficient of the glass as much as possible to reduce the melting temperature.

2. Maintain a suitable and stable melting temperature during the production process, and must avoid large fluctuations in temperature.

3. Strictly control the particle size distribution of mineral raw materials to reduce the erosion of refractory materials by the fine powder in the raw materials.

4. Control the total iron content in the raw materials, and be sure to remove the impurity iron from the broken glass.

5. Add appropriate moisture to the batch to suppress the generation of flying materials.

6. It is recommended to use heavy alkali if possible.
