The cargo throughput was 15.69 million tons, an increase of 19% year-on-year; the container throughput was 695,000 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 14.1%. The container throughput in one month hit a record high.

According to statistics from the Xiamen Port Authority, container throughput in Xiamen Port has steadily increased month by month in the first 11 months of this year, after deducting fewer containers for traditional festivals in February. In the first 11 months of this year, Xiamen Port completed a total cargo throughput of 157 million tons, an increase of 9.6% year-on-year; cumulative container throughput was 6.5 million TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 11.5%.
