US Maintains Anti-Dumping Duty Directive on the Import of Polyester Staple Fibre in Korea and Taiwan

US Maintains Anti-Dumping Duty Directive on the Import of Polyester Staple Fibre in Korea and Taiwan The US International Trade Commission (USITC) has confirmed that the withdrawal of the existing anti-dumping duties imposed on South Korea and Taiwan's polyester staple fibres may result in substantial harm continuing or recurring within a reasonable and predictable period of time.

As a result of the committee's ruling, the existing orders for the import of Korean and Taiwanese products will be maintained.

All six members voted for confirmation.

Today’s action is based on the five-year (sunset) review process required by the Uruguay Round Agreement Act.

The committee’s public report “Korea and Taiwan Polyester Staple Fibre (Invoice No. 731-TA825-826 (Second Review) US International Trade Commission September 2011 Edition 4257) will contain the comments and information of the Committee during the review.

The U.S. International Trade Commission is an independent, quasi-judicial federal agency that undertakes extensive investigation responsibilities for trade issues.
