Vietnam exports $5.1 billion worth of textile garments from January to May 2011

According to the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association, although the industry has been under pressure from the production of raw materials, utilities and wages, the export industry has still exported US$5.1 billion worth of products in the first five months, up 35.6% from the same period in 2010. The EU, as well as Japan, continued to be the top three export markets. In particular, Japan’s massive earthquake and tsunami disaster in early March did not reduce the importation of this product into Vietnam. However, during this period, exports to Malaysia and Turkey were countered by the introduction of defense import taxes by the two countries.

After a rapid growth of average annual growth of 30% in the past 10 years, Vietnam Textile Garments has been ranked among the top 10 exporters of textile garments in the world. In 2010, it exported US$ 11.2 billion worth of textile garments, a year-on-year increase of 23% compared to the same period in 2009. Exports of 12.5 billion to 13 billion U.S. dollars.

However, according to industry expert assessments, the industry in Vietnam is still unable to use its development potential, and the domestic market needs to be developed vigorously.

So far, 95% cotton yarn, 70% rayon, and 60% woven fabrics still have to rely on imports. It should be thought that SourceASEAN FullService Alliance (SAFSA) has gained widespread support.

The Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (Vitas) said that in addition to the need to strengthen the management of product quality, selling price, value-added products and other issues, Vietnam still needs an industrial alliance strategy, not only with the domestic suppliers for industrial alliances, but also with the East The Association of National Owners Association, 俾 2013 Asean region developed into a global supply chain hub for high quality textile and garments.

In April 2010, the AFTEX began to promote the establishment of the SAFSA organization plan, and lobbied countries such as Asean countries, the United States, the European Union, and Japan to join in the attempt to establish product designs, manufacture samples, review samples, confirm orders, and supply original products.
