H&M sales rose 16.7% in the fourth quarter

The fast fashion brand continued to be hot in the Chinese market and the pace of shop opening was quickened. The world’s second-largest clothing retailer, H&M, recently released its fourth quarter results as of November, showing that total global sales increased by 16.7%.

According to the data, as of the fourth quarter of November, H&M Group’s total sales after taxation totaled SEK 42.605 billion, up 16.7% from SEK 36.5 billion for the same period last year, which was higher than the market’s forecast of SEK 42.2 billion. Among them, the total global sales in November increased by 10%.

H&M's performance continues to grow, and the online “new store” credit is not small. Taking the third quarter as an example, the 16% increase was mainly due to the rapid growth of e-commerce revenue in Spain and Italy. The H&M Group also stated that online stores in China that have been online in September “have grown rapidly”.

Therefore, H&M issued an announcement in November that it will expand its e-commerce territory. In 2015, e-commerce sites in eight markets, including Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Romania, and Slovakia, will be launched in succession. They will also enter India and Peru next year. There are four new markets in South Africa and China Taiwan.

H&M Electronics Online Shop is currently spread over 13 countries and regions. At the same time, H&M's store sales continued unabated. As of the end of November, the total number of H&M stores in the year reached 3,511, compared with 3,132 in the same period last year.
